Over the last couple of days, I have been re-reading a book I find very valuable, called Kids Beyond Limits, by Anat Baniel. I love Anat’s work and have interviewed her several times for my Autism Empowerment Telesummits.

In her book, she describes the power of your child’s brain to change, grow and develop new connections (also known as brain plasticity), specifically through movement.

She describes what she calls “9 Essentials” in using movement in this way, and I wanted to highlight one of those essentials today. This essential she calls “Slow,” and I wanted to share with you a simple and powerful practice you can implement in your daily life with your child called “Slow Listening.”
